Bobby Gowers died on Friday 27th June 2003 at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. He was 62.  Bobby was being treated for an illness which we thought he was getting the better of.   So it was a tragic shock when he died so suddenly.

  He knew so many people, but many more people knew of him through darts.  He was a mans friend, and he was well loved by us all.

 

In the 80s he played for Harlow in the Essex Super League. He played County darts for Essex for more than 10 years and was short listed for England selection but was pipped by Bobby George.

 

He will be sadly missed by all his friends and our sympathies go to his wife Sheila, son Darren, daughter Heidi and daughter in law Rachael.
